We are an independent think tank that is dedicated to translating
high-integrity, African-led research into bankable and scalable policy
frameworks.
Our work is anchored in understanding and mitigating the impact of major
trends that shape the rise and fall of global political and economic orders;
such as debt vulnerability, conflicts, ecological risks, technology, and
geopolitical competition.
We equip West African nations with actionable, and evidence-based
frameworks to navigate trends and secure sustainable economic
transformation through our flagship annual Report on West African
Competitiveness and Resilience Index (WACRI).
The Institute has four centres based on key economic drivers, which are
grouped into three categories: Basic-level factors, Revenue-efficiency
factors, and Innovative and Competitiveness factors that drive growth
and stability.
Centre for Regional Commerce and Connectivity focuses on
trade and transport. It recommends frameworks for removing
non-tariff barriers to improve regional supply chains.
Centre for Environment and Agro-system focuses on Agriculture
and Environment; and suggests climate impact models, food systems
framework, and natural resource governance.
Centre for Economics and Innovation handles
Finance and Economics. This centre provides de-risking models for
Foreign Direct Investment, Green Bond standards, and scalable
market analysis.
Centre for Governance and Peace-Building promotes the rule of
law, conducts conflict impact analysis in West Africa, and provides
inclusive governance models based on the ECOWAS action plan.

To equip WEST AFRICAN NATIONS and their partners with actionable, ethical, and evidence-based frameworks to navigate global mega-trends and secure sustainable economic and social transformation.
The lack of high-integrity, politically neutral, and culturally relevant data and frameworks needed to effectively guide sustainable investment and productivity is staggering. The gap results in systemic deficits such as: poor infrastructure, critical skills-policy mismatch, conflict and human displacement, and lack of climate impact preparedness.
The Institute’s identity is anchored on Productivity and Innovation.
Our virtues are based on timeless principles that have shaped great nations and people.
We call it the: RICH mindset:
